Service

Lidub is a browser extension that reads YouTube video subtitles, translates them into Vietnamese and plays Vietnamese speech in sync with the video, plus lidub.com for downloading the extension and managing your account. Operator: Lidub (Techgon). Lidub is in beta: features, quotas and prices may change.

Lidub is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

Account

You sign in with your own Google account and are responsible for activity on it. If you suspect someone else is using it, use “Sign out everywhere” on the Account page.

Fair use

Each account has a daily quota to keep the service stable for everyone. You must not:

• use automated tools, or share or resell your account or connection token;
• try to bypass quotas, attack or overload Lidub servers;
• use Lidub to break the law or infringe other people's rights.

Lidub may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Video content

Videos, subtitles and audio on YouTube belong to their owners. Lidub only creates translations and speech for your personal, real-time viewing and offers no way to download the original video or audio. You must not record, publish or redistribute dubbed versions of content you do not own, and you remain bound by YouTube's Terms of Service.

Machine translation and voices

Translations and voices are machine-generated and may be wrong, mispronounce names or drift out of sync. Do not rely on Lidub for medical, legal, financial or safety information; check the original source.

Fees

Lidub is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, Lidub (not Google or Microsoft) is the seller; prices and refund terms will be published before you buy, and free usage already consumed will not be charged retroactively.

Limitation of liability

Lidub is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Lidub is not liable for indirect damages arising from using or being unable to use the service, including incorrect translations or interruptions.

Ending the service

You may stop at any time by removing the extension and requesting account deletion (see Your rights). Lidub may change or discontinue parts of the service and will give notice where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
